# Brand Kit

> Define your brand colors, swatches, and assets once — and apply them everywhere

The Brand Kit is your newsletter's central brand definition: a set of colors, swatches, and assets that LetterBucket can apply consistently across your letters, website, and subscription forms.

Access it from **Design and Publish → Brand Kit** in the left sidebar.

## Brand Colors

Your brand palette is made of **8 color roles**. Each role is applied to specific elements of your newsletter when you use your brand colors:

| Role            | Applied to                              |
| --------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| **Background**  | Main newsletter background              |
| **Surface** | Containers and poll containers |
| **Borders** | Dividers, table borders, box borders |
| **Accent** | Buttons, table headers, icon containers |
| **Accent text** | Button text, table header text, icons |
| **Section** | Sections, columns, poll options |
| **Heading**     | Titles                                  |
| **Paragraphs**  | Body text                               |

Click the palette card to open the **color editor**, pick a color for each role, and hit **Save Colors**.

### Applying your colors everywhere

When saving, a **"Save styles to..."** dialog lets you choose where to apply the palette in the same step:

* **Brand Kit colors** — always saved.
* **Letters** — your email design.
* **Website** — your public site.
* **Subscription form** — your embedded forms.

<Tip>
  Your brand colors also show up as one-click options elsewhere: when previewing a [Template](/writing/templates) you can apply them from the Customize tab, and the letter style editor has an Apply Brand Colors option.
</Tip>

## Swatches

Save additional custom colors as **swatches** for quick access in color pickers while designing. The section shows how many swatches you've used out of your maximum, and alerts you when the limit is reached.

## Brand Assets

Upload images you reuse often — logos, signatures, banners — as **Brand Assets**. They're available from the **Assets** tab of the media gallery when writing posts. Like swatches, assets have a maximum count shown next to the section title.
