# Team Members

> Invite collaborators to your newsletter and manage their permissions

You can invite other people to collaborate on your newsletter with different levels of access. Go to **Settings → Newsletter → Team** to manage your team.

The Team page has two tabs:

* **My Newsletters** — shows members of the newsletter you currently have open.
* **Shared With Me** — shows newsletters that other owners have invited you to, along with your role in each.

## Roles

Each team member is assigned a role that determines what they can do:

| Role            | Description                                                                                               |
| --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Full control. Automatically assigned to the newsletter creator. |
| **Admin** | Full management except transferring ownership. Can manage subscribers, team, settings, and publish posts. |
| **Editor** | Can create, edit, and publish posts. Can manage media. Read-only access to analytics and subscribers. |
| **Contributor** | Can create and edit drafts only. Cannot publish. No access to analytics or settings. |
| **Analyst** | Analytics and reporting access only. Cannot create or edit content. |
| **Member**      | Limited read-only access.                                                                                 |

## Inviting someone

1. Go to **Settings → Newsletter → Team**.
2. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
3. Select their **role**.
4. Click **Send Invitation**.

LetterBucket will send them an email with an invitation link valid for **7 days**.

**If the recipient doesn't have an account yet**, they'll be directed to sign up first. Their email will be pre-filled. Once registered, they'll see the invitation to accept or reject.

**If they already have an account**, they can accept or reject directly from the invitation page.

### First-time profile setup

When a new member accepts an invitation for the first time, they'll see a welcome modal asking them to complete their profile before entering the workspace:

* **First name** — required (letters and spaces only, max 50 characters)
* **Last name** — optional
* **Profile image** — optional

This only appears once, on first access.

## Pending invitations

### Invitations you sent

Pending invitations are visible in the Team section. From there you can:

* **Resend** the invitation if the link expired.
* **Revoke** it to cancel before it's accepted.

### Invitations you received

If another newsletter owner invites you to collaborate, the invitation appears in the **Shared With Me** tab. Click **Review** to see the details and choose to **Accept** or **Reject** the invitation.

## Email notifications

LetterBucket sends automatic email notifications for key team events:

| Event                                   | Who receives it                                         |
| --------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Someone accepts your invitation | You (the owner) receive a confirmation |
| You accept an invitation | You receive a welcome email with the newsletter details |
| A member is removed from the newsletter | The removed member receives a notification |

These emails include your newsletter logo if one is configured in your settings.

## Managing existing members

Once someone joins, you can:

* **Change their role** at any time.
* **Remove them** from the newsletter.

Team members can also **Leave** a newsletter they were invited to (except the Owner).

<Warning>
  Only the Owner can transfer ownership of a newsletter. Removing the Owner is not possible unless ownership is first transferred to another member.
