# Templates

> Start your posts from pre-designed templates or save your own reusable designs

Templates let you start a post from a ready-made design — or save your own posts as reusable templates — so you don't have to configure fonts, colors, and layout from scratch every time.

Access the template gallery from **Start Writing → Use Template** in the left sidebar.

## The template gallery

The gallery has two tabs:

| Tab              | What it contains                                                                                                                     |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Pre-designed** | Templates created by LetterBucket, ready to use. The first card is always **Blank Canvas**, which starts an empty post from scratch. |
| **My Templates** | Templates you've saved yourself from the post editor. |

Use the **search bar** at the top to filter templates by name in either tab.

## Previewing and customizing a template

Click any template card to open its preview. The preview modal has two tabs:

* **Preview** — shows the template rendered as it will look in an actual email.
* **Customize** — lets you adjust the template's colors before using it, including the accent color used for buttons, table headers, and icon containers.

<Tip>
  If you have a **Brand Kit** configured, you can apply your brand colors to the template directly from the Customize tab with one click.
</Tip>

When you're happy with it, click **Use Template** to open the editor with the template's design and content pre-applied, ready to write into.

## Saving your own templates

You can turn any post into a reusable template from the post editor:

1. Open a post in the editor and design it the way you want.
2. Use the **Save as template** action.
3. Give your template a name and save.

Your template will appear in the **My Templates** tab of the gallery, available for any future post in your newsletter.

## Managing your templates

Templates in **My Templates** have three actions:

| Action     | Description                                                   |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Edit** | Opens the template in the editor so you can modify its design |
| **Rename** | Changes the template's name                                   |
| **Delete** | Permanently removes the template |

<Warning>
  Deleting a template cannot be undone. Posts already created from that template are not affected.
</Warning>
